Overnight stop in the city. Overnight on board.

Day 5

DAY 5  HOORN/ ENKHUIZEN

Full board on board. Today we wake up in Hoorn, a historic port city located on the shores of the Markermeer and an important trading center of the Netherlands during the Dutch Golden Age (1602–1702). In Hoorn’s historic center, numerous traces of this past can still be admired, including the Statencollege, the Waag, the Hoofdtoren, the Oosterkerk, the Bossuhuizen, the Oosterpoort, the Mariatoren, the Burgerweeshuis, the Statenlogement, the Botermarkt, and the Kerkplein.

At midday, we will set sail for Enkhuizen, arriving after lunch. Enkhuizen was a major port in the 17th century and one of the key locations used by the Dutch East India Company (VOC) and the West India Company for their voyages and trade, before Amsterdam became the main commercial hub. There is much to see and do in Enkhuizen: the old city walls with their iconic Koepoort gates, the Drommedaris tower, the historic DeLibrije library, the Zuiderzee ethnographic museum, and the "Spuihuisje" sluice house, among others. Overnight stop in the city. Overnight on board.

Day 6

DAY 6  KAMPEN / ZUTPHEN

Full board on board. In the morning, our ship arrives in Kampen, an ancient city that is practically an open-air museum. The magnificent banks of the River IJssel, the City Bridge with its golden wheels, the impressive gates, and the historic center with hundreds of monuments invite you to get lost in its charm. Free morning.

At dinner time, we will arrive in Zutphen, a beautiful historic city in the Netherlands. Zutphen is a medieval city, as much of its historic centre has been very well preserved. It is known for its charming streets, old merchant houses, church towers, and remains of its defensive walls. One of its most notable landmarks is the Drogenapstoren, a former defensive tower, as well as the Walburgiskerk, a large medieval church that dominates the city’s skyline. Free time. Overnight on board.

Day 7

DAY 7 NIJMEGEN

Full board on board. We will arrive in this remarkable city during breakfast. Nijmegen, the oldest city in the Netherlands, proudly showcases its rich history dating back to Roman times, evidenced by well-preserved archaeological sites and monuments. With its impressive St. Stevenskerk and the Valkhof Museum, Nijmegen offers visitors a glimpse into its medieval past, while the Waalbrug bridge connects the city with panoramic views over the River Waal. Cultural diversity comes to life in places like the Museumpark Orientalis, where visitors can explore authentic recreations of Middle Eastern landscapes and buildings. In addition to its historical significance, Nijmegen offers green spaces such as Het Goffertpark and Hunnerpark, providing locals and tourists alike with peaceful areas to relax and enjoy nature. Afternoon of navigation. Enjoy the unforgettable scenery of the Rhine from the Sun Deck. In the evening, the Captain’s Dinner will take place. Overnight on board.

Day 8

DAY 8  COLOGNE

In Cologne’s historic old town, you will find monuments, fountains, and archaeological excavations in many places. The city’s Roman past and its Jewish history during the Middle Ages have been uncovered in the archaeological site at Rathausplatz.
