located on the shores of the Markermeer and an important trading center of the
Netherlands during the Dutch Golden Age (1602–1702). In Hoorn’s historic
center, numerous traces of this past can still be admired, including the
Statencollege, the Waag, the Hoofdtoren, the Oosterkerk, the Bossuhuizen, the
Oosterpoort, the Mariatoren, the Burgerweeshuis, the Statenlogement, the
Botermarkt, and the Kerkplein. At midday, we will set sail for Enkhuizen, arriving after lunch.
Enkhuizen was a major port in the 17th century and one of the key locations
used by the Dutch East India Company (VOC) and the West India Company for their
voyages and trade, before Amsterdam became the main commercial hub. There is
much to see and do in Enkhuizen: the old city walls with their iconic Koepoort
gates, the Drommedaris tower, the historic DeLibrije library, the Zuiderzee
ethnographic museum, and the "Spuihuisje" sluice house, among others.

and the historic center with hundreds of monuments invite you to get lost in
its charm. Free morning.
At dinner time, we will arrive in Zutphen, a beautiful historic city in the Netherlands. Zutphen is a medieval city, as much of its historic centre has been very well preserved. It is known for its charming streets, old merchant houses, church towers, and remains of its defensive walls. One of its most notable landmarks is the Drogenapstoren, a former defensive tower, as well as the Walburgiskerk, a large medieval church that dominates the city’s skyline. Free time.
