Day 2 | DAY 2 DÜRNSTEIN At midday we arrive in Dürnstein, a charming village in the heart of the winding Wachau valley with a medieval castle. From the pier you can directly access the historical city center on foot passing through the medieval city gates and arriving at the Pranger square. From here you have a beautiful view over the ruins of the castle, famous for being the place where Richard "The Lionheart" was allegedly imprisoned. Don't miss an opportunity to taste the typical wines of the Wachau region. In the afternoon, enjoy the scenery that the wonderful Wachau Valley has to offer. Night on board. Day 3 | DAY 3 VIENNA Staying all the day in Vienna (till 11PM) and not far from the city-center (about 30 min on tram) you get a great chance to visit the sophisticated Austrian capital city and feel its entire beauty and energy. Vienna is famous for its elegant architecture, imperial past, opera and classical music and the annual Carnival with its opulent balls. In the morning we offer bus and walking city-tour with an English-speaking expert guide or you can always enjoy the city on your own. In evening you can plunge into opera world and visit Kursalon before leaving for new cities! Don't forget a map at the reception, we always them on the desk and mention the best places to visit in every city during the cruise! Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner onboard. Day 4 | DAY 4 BUDAPEST In the early afternoon, we will arrive in Budapest, the capital of Hungary divided by the mighty Danube in two parts: traditional "Buda" and cosmopolitan "Pest". Our optional guided tour will take you along wide boulevards to the famous Parliament, the Opera House, the Heroes' Square, the Market, the Chain Bridge and the Fishermen's Bastion with its spectacular views over the city. You can not miss Budapest at night when the city is dressed up. Discover it at your own pace. Night scale. Night on board. Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner onboard. Day 5 | DAY 5 BUDAPEST In the morning, our boat is still docked in the river port of Budapest. Discover this bustling city at your own pace. Before lunch, the boat will sail to Bratislava. Day 6 | DAY 6 BRATISLAVA Capital of Slovakia, Bratislava is an attractive and very cozy city with a rich history, a fantastic range of cultural attractions. Wake up in the morning before breakfast, make some yoga or exercices on the Sun deck catchung the first sun rays, usually the Danube is so much sunny and warm. After having brekfast prepare yourself for a city-tour, donot forget to visit Old Town Hall (with Museum of City History inside), the Old Building of the Slovak National Theatre which dates back to 1886. Another must-see is the Blue Church, one of the most unique churches in Central Europe, this Art Nouveau masterpiece is painted blue with white accents and darker blue roof tiles. And also climb UFO Tower to enjoy the city view 95-meter height! All narrow street are full of small cafés with the unique atmosphere! Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner onboard. Day 7 | DAY 7 MELK Today we wake up in Melk, a small town located in the heart of the impressive Wachau Valley. It is known worldwide for the Benedictine Abbey located on top of a rock overlooking the river. The abbey was established in 1089 and houses remains of Austria’s first ruling dynasty, the House of Babenburg. It was also the site of the production of many religious manuscripts. The current facade of the building was constructed in the 1700s in a baroque styleAfter lunch, the boat sails to Passau. In the evening, the Captain's dinner.
