In the afternoon, we will arrive in Pinhao, a town considered to be the center of the Douro Denomination of Origin Region and it is here that many of the Port wine producing estates are located, some of which offer accommodation in the form of rural tourism. Also worth mentioning is the railroad station building, built at the end of the 19th century, whose interior is entirely covered with tile panels. Optional: excursion to a wine estate near Pinhão. Enjoy a guided tour of the vineyards and cellars, where you will learn about the Port wine making process. The experience culminates with an exquisite tasting of two Port wines. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3
DAY 3 POCHINHO / VEGA DE TERRÓN
Full board on board. In the morning, we dock in Pocinho, a small village located in the northern region of Portugal, known for being the starting point of the railway known as the Douro Line. The peculiarity of this itinerary is that the rails and sleepers are placed a few meters from the water of the river.
In the afternoon, we will arrive at the Vega de Terrón wharf, which is located where the Águeda River flows into the Duero. The old frontier wharf became a river wharf at the end of the 19th century and was rebuilt at the end of the 20th century for tourist and commercial purposes. The pier belongs to the municipality of La Fregeneda in the province of Salamanca and is located in the most attractive tourist place called Arribes del Duero Natural Park. La Fregeneda was the last railroad station before the border. The railroad linked the town of Boadilla with the Portuguese town of Barca d'Alva. From this point, through the railway hub of Pocinho, it reached the Atlantic in Oporto. Currently, this track is closed and is part of the Arribes greenway. Optional: Excursion to Almeida and  Castelo Rodrigo. Overnight stopover in the town. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4
DAY 4 BARCA D'ALVA
Full board on board. It is a small village that was for a century the point where the railway lines connecting Salamanca with Oporto joined. An iron bridge over the river Águeda allowed the passage of the railroad between the two countries and linked this station with the Salamanca station of La Fregeneda. Barca d'Alva is located within the Duero Internacional Natural Park with its impressive gorges of the Duero and Águeda rivers that serve as a natural border between Spain and Portugal. Optional: Visit to San Felices de los Gallegos and Ciudad Rodrigo. Overnight stopover in the town. Overnight on board.
Day 5
DAY 5 RÉGUA (LAMEGO)
Full board on board. During the morning, take advantage of the sailing hours to admire the wonderful views of the Douro Valley. At noon, we stop again in Pinhao to enjoy the best wineries of the Douro Valley. In the early afternoon, we will arrive in the town of Régua. Here in 1756 was founded the Royal General Agricultural Company of the Douro Vineyards, which established the first region with denomination of origin of wine production in the world. In this region, the terraced vineyards on the slopes next to the river offer beautiful panoramas that can be admired from the many viewpoints in the area, among which we highlight the San Leonardo in Galafura and San António do Loureiro. Nearby, the thermal resort of Caldas de Moledo, located on the right bank of the Douro, has its own jetty, and is a pleasant place for a relaxing vacation. Optional: visit to Lamego and Sao Joao Tarouca.  Overnight stopover in the village. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 6
DAY 6 RÉGUA / DOURO MARINA
Full board on board. Early in the morning we leave Regua for Porto, excited about what the journey has in store for us. After a journey full of enchanting landscapes, we will arrive at our destination just after lunch.
Once in Porto, we will have the whole afternoon free to explore its charms. From its fascinating architecture to its picturesque cobbled streets, every corner promises to delight us with its beauty and history. We can stroll along the Douro River, visit emblematic vineyards or simply enjoy the lively atmosphere of its squares. Optional: excursion to Braga and Bom Jesus (without entrance fees).
Day 7
DAY 7 DOURO MARINA
Full board on board. Morning at Douro Marina, considered as the nautical gateway to the Douro tourist region and to the North of Portugal. It is the driving force behind an innovative concept that reflects the importance of sport, leisure, well-being and a deep respect for nature. In the surrounding area, there are restaurants and terraces where you can enjoy the scenery and the tranquillity of the Douro River.
Porto is a real joy for the eyes, a city that is able to conquer from the first moment thanks to its slopes, its decadent houses, but with a magical atmosphere and especially thanks to the Ribeira district, from where you can admire an incredible view and the boats passing under the Ponte Dom Luis I, an iron construction made by a close collaborator of Gustave Eiffel. Optional: visit to the Portuguese cannery. Overnight stopover in the city. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 8
DAY 8 PORTO
Disembarkation after breakfast. End of our services.
